The electricity grid is evolving. That evolution is not just about replacing aging infrastructure and moving to digital solutions — those things are and will continue to happen — but the new reality for utilities today is that grid modernization also encompasses how the grid is managed, who is managing it, and from where.

DISTRIBUTECH International, the annual event for distribution utilities and their partners, focuses on all of the latest trends and innovations in the electricity delivery space. The conference covers 12 different areas of the utility industry, which we call educational tracks – each offering 4 educational sessions. We asked each of our track chairs to tell us about the hot topics in their track right now.

Electricity is not just an essential business; it’s THE essential business says our Grid Modernization track chair. Play the video below to hear what Eric Charette thinks will be important topics for discussion at next year’s event.
