Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative chooses Milsoft GIS

Milsoft Utility Solutions, Inc., Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative (EC) in Jordan, Minnesota, has chosen the Milsoft Geographic Information System (GIS).

Minnesota Valley EC, which was already using Milsoft Engineering Analysis, Outage Management and IVR Communications, has added Milsoft GIS to complete its Milsoft E&O System.

Milsoft GIS is used by 150 electric utilities for electric utility mapping and asset data management. The software is integrated with ESRI GIS tools.

Milsoft GIS provides the data capture, management and display capabilities that a utility needs to maximize the many benefits of using GIS.

Minnesota Valley EC, headquartered in Jordan, Minnesota, is a local, member-owned electric distribution cooperative established in 1937. The utility provides electric energy to more than 35,000 members in nine counties along the Minnesota River Valley near Minneapolis. Minnesota Valley EC was one of 23 electric distribution cooperatives to receive an ARRA Smart Grid Demonstration Grant for hardware and software to help modernize their electric grid.
