Phil Bussey to fill PSE executive position focused on customers

Bellevue, Wash., February 24, 2012 — Puget Sound Energy has created the new position of senior vice president and chief customer officer that will focus on the services PSE offers to its more than 1.5 million electric and natural gas customers in Western Washington.

Filling this new position beginning mid-March will be Phil Bussey, currently the president and CEO of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.

Bussey will be responsible for PSE‘s customer solutions, corporate affairs, federal government relations and state government relations functions.

“This is an important milestone in PSE’s increasing focus on our customers and Phil is uniquely qualified to fill this new position,” said PSE President and CEO Kimberly J. Harris.

Before joining the Seattle Metro Chamber, Bussey served as PSE’s senior vice president, corporate affairs.

Washington state’s oldest local energy utility, PSE serves more than 1.1 million electric customers and 750,000 natural gas customers in 11 counties. A unit of Puget Energy, PSE meets the energy needs of its customers, in part, through energy efficiency, procurement of sustainable energy resources and investment in energy-delivery infrastructure.
