French equipment manufacturer Alstom has signed a $163 million deal to supply 36 wind turbines to Brazilian generator Tractebel, according to Business News Americas.

Alstom will provide the ECO 122 units, each comprising 2.7 MW, in addition to operation and maintenance services for 10 years, according to an Alstom release.

The contract is for the 97.2 MW Trairí wind farm in Brazil’s northeastern state of Ceará.

Alstom said it had partnered with energy services firm Freyssinet to facilitate installation by using hydraulic lifting techniques.

The units will be built at Alstom’s plant in Bahia state and are due to be delivered by mid-2016.
