“SunEdison and AT&T have a long history of working together to develop and implement renewable energy systems at AT&T sites in New Jersey and California,” said Rafael Dobrzynski, SVP and general manager of commercial and industrial distributed generation at SunEdison. “We’re really pleased we can deliver great energy savings in their home state of Texas.”
“AT&T is proud to introduce this new solar power installation in Lancaster,” said Holly Reed, regional vice president of AT&T. “We are continuously seeking opportunities to add renewable energy resources to power our business operations. We see the benefits that come from diversifying our energy supply to include sources like solar. Lancaster is the perfect community to continue our solar collaboration right here in Texas.”
AT&T and SunEdison have worked together since 2010, and in 2012 AT&T awarded SunEdison with a Supplier Sustainability Award for helping launch its solar energy efforts. This 677 kilowatt ground-mount solar power plant is the latest collaboration between the companies. The system is constructed using 2,000 high-efficiency SunEdison solar panels. SunEdison is also working with TerraForm Power on this project.
