Bondfield, ABB to build solar energy project for Canadian Solar

A unit of Canadian Solar Inc. selected ABB and its consortium partner Bondfield Construction Co. to build a 100 MW turnkey solar photovoltaic power plant for the Grand Renewable Energy Project.

ABB will also be responsible for engineering, electrical installation, commissioning and performance testing of the plant, which is expected to be fully operational in 2015.

Canadian Solar Solutions is serving as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the project, which is being financed by Connor Clark & Lunn Infrastructure and developed by Samsung Renewable Energy Inc.
