Broadwind Energy files $87 million wind power tower order

Wind energy firm Broadwind Energy (Nasdaq: BWEN) won an $87 million order for wind power towers from an unnamed U.S. wind turbine manufacturer.

Broadwind will build the towers in two facilities in Wisconsin and Texas, and scheduled delivery for 2014. The company also said a $34 million order placed in 2010 was mutually canceled due to reduction in the customer’s U.S. requirements, according to Power Engineering.
