Clear Skies Solar, Cavallo Energy to develop solar PV project

Mineola, N.Y., August 26, 2009 — Clear Skies Solar, a turnkey solar electricity installer, will develop a 34-acre property in California’s Mojave desert into a photovoltaic solar power project.

The project will be a minimum of 6 MW, $20 million, solar PV facility with engineering to begin on the first 3 MWs in the fourth quarter of 2009, and development of the second stage of the project to begin by the second quarter of 2010.

The maximum size of the project will be dependent on capacity of the onsite substation and existing transmission line capacity.

Cavallo Energy, a national energy management and finance procurement company, partnered with Clear Skies Solar providing their expertise in high voltage utility scale power generation, required for this project. Clear Skies will be the lead contractor and Cavallo will lead engineering and development of the project.
