Donald Trump loses appeal against Scottish wind farm

Real estate mogul and reality TV figure Donald Trump has lost his latest legal challenge against the developers of a Scottish wind farm he said would ruin the aesthetics of his golf course in Aberdeenshire.

Trump’s company said the wind turbines would spoil the scenic views at the golf resort and argued that the renewable energy project was approved without public inquiry.

Trump argues his $1.2 billion golf course delivers more benefits to the economy than the 11-turbine European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre.

The project won approval in March 2013 to build 11 wind turbines with capacity to power 68,000 homes costing more than $382.8 million.
