Eagle Creek Renewable Energy buys 29 MW of hydropower in Northeast U.S.

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy purchased a portfolio of ten hydroelectric power generation facilities in the Northeast from Algonquin Power. The facilities have a total generating capacity of about 29 MW, producing about 100 million kWh of renewable energy in an average year.

Under the management of a team of Eagle Creek and former Algonquin employees, the ten facilities will be integrated with Eagle Creek’s existing hydroelectric power plants in New York.

Eagle Creek is also constructing three new projects in the Northeast that will add 4 MW and 16 million kWh to the portfolio.
