Gamesa sells wind turbines for Michigan wind power project

Gamesa Corp. will be providing 20 MW of turbines to the Big Turtle wind power project being developed in Michigan by Heritage Sustainable Energy. The order marks the first for Gamesa’s G114-2.0 MW wind turbine.

The turbines are scheduled for delivery in mid-2014, and the facility is slated for commissioning toward the end of 2014. The wind farm has a 20-year power purchase agreement with DTE Energy.

The deal also includes a 12-year operation and maintenance service agreement, according to Power Engineering.
