JinkoSolar supplies rooftop solar project under Ontario’s FIT program

Solar photovoltaic power product manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co. supplied 2.3 MW of solar power modules for a rooftop solar system constructed by Sentinel Solar. The system was installed on a rooftop covering about 400,000 square meters.

The project is the company’s largest rooftop project in Canada and was commissioned under Ontario‘s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) plan.

It comprises of 9,294 JinkoSolar solar modules and customized racking solution designed and manufactured by Sentinel Solar. The system is expected to produce 2,540,000 kWh annually, enough to power about 150 homes. The solar energy array is expected to offset about 11,200 tons of carbon dioxide annually and assist Ontario in achieving its goal to phase out coal power by 2014.
