Landis+Gyr smart grid IoT tech wins certification

Energy management firm Landis+Gyr has successfully completed Wi-SUN US Profile physical layer certification of the radio technology used in Gridstream solutions and deployed globally in over 7 million smart grid IoT devices.

Industry alliance certifications ensure future interoperability of RF-enabled hardware deployed in smart grid networks. This standards-based certification demonstrates that utilities will be able to realize a future smart grid vision that securely connects devices critical to efficiently and reliably serve the needs of energy consumers.

With a wide variety of Wi-SUN compliant devices already operating today on Landis+Gyr networks, utilities are better positioned to bring new devices onto the network for a variety of energy efficiency, grid management and smart city applications.
