LiveData Utilities to unveil InfluxDB at DistribuTECH 2018

LiveData Utilities announced that the company will be introducing RTI InfluxDB, a full featured time-series database for Operational Technology (OT) and IIoT applications, at the DistribuTECH 2018 Conference & Exhibition. To be held Jan. 23-25 in San Antonio, Texas, DistribuTECH is the largest annual transmission and distribution event in the world.

In its exhibit (booth #2668), LiveData Utilities will be demonstrating its wide range of smart grid integration solutions, some for the first time in public. InfluxDB is the latest addition to LiveData Utilities’ smart grid integration platform, which is based on the company’s Real Time Integration (RTI) Server. RTI InfluxDB enables utilities to fulfill their customers’ demands for cost effective, high-performance time series data collection, analysis, publishing, logging and archiving capabilities.

The company is scheduling a limited number of media appointments with LiveData Utilities General Manager Brad Harkavy.

DistribuTECH 2018 is the leading exhibition and conference for the Smart Grid. With more than 13,000 attendees, DistribuTECH is the largest U.S. event that covers the utility industry from end-to-end. Industry thought leaders from all over the world come to the annual DistribuTECH conference because of its opportunities to network, share knowledge and problem solve with worldwide utilities and product and service providers. The topics covered are relevant and timely, answering the current call of the market each year. More than 500 companies fill the exhibit hall with information, products and services related to electricity delivery automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy integration, advanced metering, T&D system operation and reliability, communications technologies, cyber security, water utility technology and more.

RTI InfluxDB is a full featured Open Source time-series database (historian) employing RTI Server as the communications hub for Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) data from any source. With RTI InfluxDB, utilities can collect data from virtually any utility device or system using a wide arrange of protocols including ICCP, Modbus, DNP3, OPC, 61850 and many more. RTI InfluxDB provides a fully scalable, cost-effective, field proven solution that can be deployed on premise or in a public or private cloud.

In its booth, LiveData Utilities will also be demonstrating its latest smart grid integration technologies, including:

·      RTI Generation Asset Manager, an HTML5 real-time visualization and historian tool that is being widely adopted across the utilities industry;

·      RTI Asset ID Manager, which provides automated asset ID management

·      RTI Platform – control room grade dataflow engine

·      RTI Configuration Manager – a streamlined dataflow configuration tool
