NV Energy issues RFP for 100 MW of renewable energy

NV Energy has announced it is seeking proposals to secure up to 100 MW of additional renewable energy resources that provide the greatest economic benefit to the state of Nevada, that ensure the creation of new jobs, and that offer the best value to NV Energy customers.

Merrimack Energy Group will serve as the independent evaluator for the request for proposals, and PowerAdvocate will provide the response platform and related technology for the RFP process.

This 100 MW request for proposals is for renewable energy for NV Energy’s operating company in Southern Nevada. Subsequent 100 MW RFPs will be issued in 2015 and 2016.

NV Energy requests that all parties interested in becoming a bidder for this RFP should complete and submit a bidder’s registration and contact information form that can be found on the company’s website – NV Energy Renewable Energy RFP.

There will be a Bidder’s Conference on Oct. 10, 2014, to be held at the company’s offices in both Las Vegas and Reno. The last day bids can be submitted is Nov. 12, 2014, and the company anticipates finalizing a shortlist by Feb. 17, 2015.

Additional information and the process required to register with PowerAdvocate and to attend the Bidder’s Conference are available at the company’s website.
