Otter Tail Power purchases wind energy output

Otter Tail Power Co. signed a 25-year power purchase agreement for 62.4 MW from the Ashtabula III wind farm in North Dakota. The contract includes an option for Otter Tail to own the wind farm in ten years.

It is currently owned by a unit of NextEra Energy Resources (NYSE: NEE). Ashtabula III uses 39, 1.6 MW GE (NYSE: GE) XLE turbines. It started operations in 2010.
