In a recent piece by Nokia, author Kamal Ballout points out the utilities are the silent heroes of the power industry. As we enter hurricane season while still in the midst of a pandemic, utilities must beef up their resiliency planning and preparation in an entirely different way.
However, the DISTRIBUTECH International Resiliency Planning and Preparation track chair Scott Rogers says that when we have problems, the industry steps up with innovative solutions and it’s those innovative solutions that he is looking forward to hearing about at next year’s event.
DISTRIBUTECH International, the annual event for distribution utilities and their partners, focuses on all of the latest trends and innovations in the electricity delivery space. The conference covers 12 different areas of the utility industry, which we call educational tracks — each offering 4 educational sessions. We asked each of our track chairs to tell us about the hot topics in their track right now.
Play the video below to hear what Scott Rogers thinks will be important topics for discussion at DISTRIBUTECH 2021.
