DR Management System

AutoGrid Systems unveiled its Energy Data Platform, a highly scalable, secure software platform for mining smart grid data, as well as its Demand Response Optimization and Management Systems (DROMS), a cloud-based demand management service that expands the market and versatility of dynamic pricing and power management services. Requiring no additional hardware, DROMS cuts the cost of DR systems by 90 percent while increasing the yield of power from demand response events by 30 percent. DROMS also allows execution of demand response events within seconds instead of days, allowing power management to be used as spinning reserves or for grid balancing services in near real time.

Based on open protocols such as OpenADR, DROMS is an economical, cloud-based service for implementing and managing power management programs such as direct load control, critical-peak pricing, peak-time rebates and demand bidding.

Toughbook H2 Docking Station

Havis Inc. introduced a new rugged docking station for the Panasonic Toughbook H2 handheld tablet PC. This docking station is Toughbook Certified to ensure reliable docking and performance in medical, enterprise and in-vehicle workspaces. The docking station enhances mobile worker productivity by providing a secure location for tablet charging and connection to peripherals such as bar code scanners, printers and keyboards. By using a thin design and top-facing ports, the docking station maintains a low profile when mounted to other equipment or directly to the wall. Its easy-to-use, strain-relief bracket prevents loose connections and accidental disconnects. The docking station was tested to withstand MIL-STD 810G vibration testing, in-vehicle crash simulations, environment testing and extreme durability testing. This testing ensures tablets will remain securely docked and protected through rugged driving conditions and extreme work environments.
