PlanetEcosystems, Efficiency Vermont to pilot energy efficiency tools

Efficiency Vermont, Vermont’s statewide energy efficiency utility, and PlanetEcosystems launched a pilot project employing a set of consumer engagement tools from its P-ECOSYS consumer engagement technology platform.

Chosen to enhance Efficiency Vermont’s home energy services, PlanetEcosystems’ web-service platform is designed to engage customers in learning about energy efficiency opportunities and provide them with actionable steps for reducing energy costs.

PlanetEcosystems is deploying two P-ECOSYS web portals with Efficiency Vermont:

· Consumer Portal: Includes planning tools for consumers to calculate and prioritize energy and water demand reduction actions and investments; consumer action tools with automated directories of qualified contractors, equipment vendors, financing options, and available and applicable rebates and incentives; and social networking tools.

· Administrator Portal: Includes reporting tools to track and manage energy efficiency programs and performance, and to understand consumer behavior and responsiveness, as well as a system for content management and customer support.
