Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative names new board member

The Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative said Wednesday it has named Allconnect’s Rob Caiello to its board of directors.

Caiello, vice president of marketing and customer experience with the energy sales and marketing solutions firm, will serve a two-year term on the 17-member board.

“Rob has provided invaluable insights to our research committee for the past few years, and we look forward to his thoughtful contributions to our board of directors,” said Patty Durand, SECC President and CEO.

At Allconnect, Caiello is responsible for business-to-business marketing, communication strategies and the customer experience. Prior to Allconnect, he was director of affinity and partnership marketing at DirectTV, where he also was responsible for retention and loyalty programs. He began his consumer marketing career at Home Shopping Network and Caiello has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a MBA from Syracuse University.

“I’m honored to serve SECC as we continue to explore the issues that are important to the success of our dynamic industry,” said Caiello. “It will be exciting to build on SECC’s successes and help ensure the industry is well-positioned to seize the opportunities ahead.”

SECC recently changed its name from Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative. The group does extensive research into consumer views about electricity delivery and usage.
