Consulting, technology and outsourcing firm Capgemini has hired Bart Thielbar as vice president, North American utilities practice lead.
Thielbar, an industry veteran and former COO of utilities IT advisory firm TMG Consulting, will spearhead go-to-market activities and client delivery and report to Rob McKay, senior vice president, energy, utilities and chemicals lead for Capgemini North America.
Thielbar brings more than 25 years of operational and delivery experience to Capgemini’s utilities practice. He has led advisory and technology engagements with many of the largest utilities in North America and has worked with many software and technology providers.

Thielbar’s prior experience includes serving as a senior vice president at Five Point Partners and as president of Itility Solutions, both utility strategy, research and technology advisory firms. He also served as chair of the Edison Electric Institute’s and American Gas Association’s Technology Advisory Council, and holds his Certified Information Systems Auditor designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
