CPS Energy reorganizes management

CPS Energy announced changes to the organization that will consolidate major operational areas of San Antonio’s energy provider.

Effective Aug. 1, executive vice president and chief generation and strategy officer Cris Eugster now leads the generation and strategy group to include power generation, energy supply and market operations, environmental planning and compliance, nuclear operations and corporate planning and business development.

Eugster will be responsible for the performance and evolution of generation capabilities and technology platforms to meet the community’s growing energy demands.

Executive vice president and chief delivery officer Jelynne LeBlanc-Burley now leads energy delivery and customer service. Leblanc-Burley will oversee all areas that interact with customers, including electric and gas delivery, customer service and CPS Energy’s service to military facilities under Joint Base San Antonio.

Senior vice president and chief administrative officer John Benedict leads corporate support services, which includes information technology, vehicle fleet and supply chain functions, corporate facilities and security.

Jenna Saucedo has been promoted from senior manager to chief of staff, and will oversee corporate business planning and analysis. Saucedo will continue to manage stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs, CPS Energy Board meetings and the CEO’s administrative functions, streamlining the reporting of business planning, budget analysis and organizational communications directly to Beneby.

Other changes include realigning rates and budget planning with finance and placing responsibility for regulatory compliance with audit services.
