Jerry Duvall, who helped develop a small forum into the CS Week utility conference, has retired from his duties as chief operation officer of the event.
Duvall formerly was CEO of CS Week before colleague Rod Litke followed him in that role. Under Duvall’s leadership, a small event known as Tres Utility Conference later become the CIS (Customer and Information Services) Conference when he brought it to Sherman, Texas.
Duvall and Litke joined forces in 1989 and evolved the format from a one vendor solution-based forum to a generic, open, utility-focused conference.
CS Week now draws attendees primarily from large and small North American IOUs, municipalities and cooperatives. Beginning in 2016, the AGA (American Gas Association) and EEI (Edison Electric Institute) are combining their customer service conference with CS Week.
