Gridco Systems appoints James Andrus VP, worldwide sales

Gridco Systems, a leader in active grid infrastructure solutions, has appointed James Andrus vice president of worldwide sales, the company announced.

Andrus brings more than 25 years of utility industry experience and an in-depth understanding of how to drive global sales. In his new role at Gridco Systems, Andrus will be responsible for managing worldwide sales to help achieve the company’s global business objectives.

“Jim brings over two decades of executive sales experience in the utility industry and we are very pleased to have him on our team,” said Naimish Patel, CEO of Gridco Systems. “His deep understanding of the utility business, experience in cultivating executive relationships and success in managing sales organizations will help Gridco Systems grow over the coming years.”

Andrus joins Gridco Systems from Tollgrade, where he was vice president of global smart grid sales. Prior to Tollgrade, Andrus led global sales at Echelon and Aclara/ESCO Technologies. He also has held several executive sales management positions with leading utility suppliers including ABB/Elster and Itron.

“I am excited at the opportunity to lead global sales efforts at Gridco Systems as the company expands its footprint throughout North America, Europe and other geographies,” Andrus said. “The company is well-positioned to provide cost-effective solutions for utilities dealing with integration of distributed energy resources, energy efficiency initiatives such as CVR, peak capacity management, and increased demand for greater power quality assurance and reliability.”

Andrus has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hartford and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
