Head of New England ISO board steps down

Kathryn J. Jackson will step down from her role as chair for ISO New England board of directors, effective April 25, 2014.

ISO New England Inc. is the operator of the region’s bulk power system and wholesale electricity markets.

Philip Shapiro will fill the role upon Jackson’s departure.

Jackson will join the board of Portland General Electric Co. of Portland, Oregon, on April 26. Federal interlocking rules generally prohibit ISO New England board members from serving on another board that is an unaffiliated public utility.
