NECEC Institute and Mass Energy: An Analysis of the Massachusetts Renewable Portfolio Standard

The Massachusetts RPS requires that retail electricity suppliers provide customers with a minimum percentage of electricity from renewable energy. This percentage currently increases by 1 percent each year. This report, including work by Synapse Energy Economics and Sustainable Energy, examines the impacts of the current RPS policy and potential changes in the RPS policy on the future renewable energy
