NYISO names Daniel C. Hill to board

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) announced the unanimous selection of Daniel C. Hill to its board of directors.

Hill is former senior vice president and chief information officer of Exelon Corp., where he managed all aspects of the company’s information technology and telecommunications functions. At Exelon, he was engaged in developing advanced metering infrastructure and related smart grid technology. Hill retired from Exelon in March 2012.

Hill worked in technology and management positions at Commonwealth Edison Co., a predecessor to Exelon, from 1983 to 2000.

The vacancy on the board was created by the departure of Karen Antion, who joined the NYISO board in 1998 as one of its founding members and served as board chairwoman from April 2006 to April 2011. Prior to serving as chairwoman, she served as vice chairwoman and served with distinction as chairwoman of the board’s Governance Committee, Information Technology Committee and Business Issues Committee.
