PPL Finance Execs Swapping Roles in Leadership Rotation

PPL Corp. announced that its board appointed Marlene C. Beers as the utility company’s new controller, effective March 1.

Beers was PPL Electric’s vice president of finance and regulatory affairs for the past three years. She is swapping jobs with Stephen K. Breininger, who had served as controller since June 2014.

Prior to joining PPL, Beers worked 20 years in various finance and accounting positions for Air Products and Chemicals Inc. She also worked as a senior auditor for KPMG US LLP.

Based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, PPL has companies serving more than 10 million utility customers in the U.S. and United Kingdom. PPL’s domestic companies include PPL Electric, Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities.
