Primus Power has appointed industry veteran Jorg Heinemann as its new chief commercial officer, the energy storage firm announced Monday.
Heinemann joins Primus with more than 25 years’ experience in the energy sector. Those include eight years at SunPower as executive vice president of global system sales, engineering, procurement and construction.
At SunPower Heinemann guided the implementation of more than 2,000 MW of solar power plants. Prior to SunPower he was executive partner and practice leader at Accenture, the global management consulting firm.
“Jorg’s extensive business and energy background comes at the perfect time for us,” states Tom Stepien, CEO of Primus Power. “We are positioned for rapid growth and Jorg’s business acumen, strategic vision and industry experience will be invaluable as we scale. He is an authentic, purpose-driven leader who will help Primus accelerate our commercial growth worldwide.”
“It is an exciting time to join the energy storage industry and Primus,” said Heinemann. “Battery system shipments are rapidly growing around the globe and Primus has distinguished itself by developing a world-class long duration energy storage solution. We have a wonderful opportunity to help our customers save money, enhance renewable energy systems, and build a more balanced and resilient electric grid.”
Primus Power is a California-headquartered provider of energy storage systems. The company’s flow batteries are shipping to U.S. and international commercial, industrial, data center, microgrid and utility customers.
