Representatives from world’s largest utilities to attend DistribuTECH

Representatives from the world’s largest utilities will participate in this year’s DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition to be held next week in San Antonio, Texas. These utilities include: BC Hydro, Con Edison, CPS Energy, Duke Energy, Florida Power & Light, NV Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison and more.

Utility representatives will participate as speakers in both DistribuTECH’s opening keynote session and in the conference sessions taking place throughout the week. Doyle N. Beneby, president and chief executive officer, CPS Energy, and Michael W. Yackira, president and chief executive officer, NV Energy, are the two featured utility speakers at this year’s opening keynote session. Some 29 utilities have registered to be a part of DistribuTECH’s Utility Partner Program, meaning they will send at least five employees to the event. Many of these utilities plan to send many more than that.

“We are pleased with these utilities’ support of this year’s DistribuTECH. Their attendance solidifies this event as the top annual transmission and distribution event in the world and DistribuTECH 2014 is poised to be one of the best in its 24 year history,” said MaryBeth DeWitt, vice president, PennWell, Transmission & Distribution Events.

DistribuTECH’s robust conference program, featuring 79 conference sessions in 15 tracks, and its comprehensive exhibition of industry products and services featuring more than 475 companies, allow utilities and other organizations interested in power delivery to network, share ideas and accomplish business objectives all under one roof for a maximum return on investment.

In addition, DistribuTECH’s improved 2014 Utility Partner Program offers participating utilities exclusive discounts and other benefits. So far, nearly 30 utilities have taken advantage of this program. Also new to this year’s event is DistribuTECH’s participation in the United States Department of Commerce International Buyer Program. The program has garnered delegations from 11 countries, including: Angola, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Ethiopia, India, the Phillipines, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

DistribuTECH will be held January 28-30, 2014 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The world’s largest and most comprehensive transmission and distribution event, DistribuTECH includes pre-conference Utility University® workshops, networking events, a conference program with more than 300 speakers and an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge products and services from more than 475 companies.
