SCANA Corp. elected two new members to its board of directors today — Alfredo “Al” Trujillo, president and chief operating officer of the Georgia Tech Foundation; and John “Jack” F.A.V. Cecil, president of Biltmore Farms LLC.
SCANA’s board voted October 10, 2013 to increase the size of the SCANA Corp. board from nine to eleven members. The board elected Trujillo and Cecil to serve in the newly created seats until the next annual meeting of shareholders at which time the board plans to propose each for election by the shareholders.
Trujillo was appointed president and chief operating officer of the Georgia Tech Foundation in July 2013. He has also served as a Trustee of the Foundation and formerly served as chairman of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.
Jack Cecil has served as president of Biltmore Farms LLC since 1992. Biltmore Farms is a fourth generation family-owned business with a primary focus of sustainable community development, including home building, residential communities, apartments, hotels and retail properties.
