Scott Madden: Understanding Wind Energy Potential in the Southeast

With more than 84,000 MW of wind capacity located in 41 states, wind energy recently surpassed conventional hydroelectric to become the largest source of renewable energy capacity in the U.S. Despite the advances, relatively little utility-scale wind energy exists in the southeast.
