The Structure Group’s nMarket product installed at AES NewEnergy for ERCOT participation

HOUSTON, Texas, Nov. 8, 2001 — The Structure Group recently completed installation of its nMarketâ„- energy trading software product for AES NewEnergy in time for AES NewEnergy’s participation in the ERCOT electricity market.

“Structure’s nMarketâ„- ERCOT product was the best choice to integrate with our present trade capture system and has allowed us to streamline our business processes. By implementing Structure’s product, we have more time to focus on the market and serving customers,” AES NewEnergy scheduling manager Kim Johnson said.

AES NewEnergy required a short turnaround time on the installation, which Structure was able to meet.

“We were looking for a scheduling and settlement solution that would allow us to be up and running in ERCOT quickly. The Structure consultants were able to help us meet our goals by providing us with prompt service and an excellent installation of the product,” Johnson said.

Structure introduced nMarketâ„- in 2000. The product assists energy organizations with the bidding, scheduling, dispatch and settlement of energy trades and ancillary services in regional power markets. Power marketers who participate in the ERCOT, California, New England, New York, PJM and Ontario markets are currently using the product. AES NewEnergy is the 10th company to install nMarketâ„- for the ERCOT market. Approximately 85 percent of the competitive generation in Texas is either bid, scheduled or settled through nMarketâ„- ERCOT.
