Volvo Penta of the Americas names VP, industrial sales

Volvo Penta of the Americas recently announced the appointment of Darren Tasker as vice president for industrial sales.

In this role, Tasker will be responsible for the power generation and off-road versatile equipment power business segments in North and Central America. He will lead the Volvo Penta industrial team in further developing the company’s growing distribution and service network in the industrial sector.

Tasker has been with Volvo Penta more than 18 years. Prior to this appointment, he was director of industrial business in charge of developing the North American off-highway market strategy. In his previous positions, he gained extensive experience working in industrial sales positions in Europe, including U.K. sales manager.

He has an MBA from Middlesex University in the U.K.
