Westinghouse names president of Americas region

Westinghouse Electric Co. named Mark Marano to the position of president, Americas region, effective May 31. In his new position, Marano will be responsible for customer relationships, business plan development, and project and product delivery in the Americas region.

He will also work with Westinghouse nuclear automation, nuclear fuel, nuclear power plants and nuclear services product lines to expand business and market share throughout the region.

Most recently, Marano served as senior vice president for Areva NP in Charlotte, N.C. He has also held executive positions within GE-Hitachi, American Electric Power (AEP) and several other utilities.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from State University of New York at Oswego.

Westinghouse is a group company of Toshiba Corp.
