Allegro Development’s component software recognized as best technology for energy companies

DALLAS, Dec. 16, 2003 — Commodities Now magazine has presented Allegro Development with its 2003 Gold Award for Technology for best Processes, Systems, and Data.

The Energy Business Awards are designed to reward those companies and individuals who are making a significant mark on the way energy business is conducted and are determined by an independent panel of judges. Nominated companies are assessed on what and how well they have contributed to the wider energy business.

Allegro was selected, in part, based on its continued investment in technology; developing its latest software release on a component architecture true N-tier architecture based on XML services under Microsoft’s .NET.

Allegro’s software components help energy companies manage critical business processes through cost effective, connected technology, and best-in-class functionality. Allegro’s initiative to rewrite and re-architect its software over the last two years was judged to significantly benefit the wider energy market by the independent panel.

“Companies engaged in energy exploration and production, refining and marketing, as well as utilities and energy traders, require software solutions that adapt to their unique business environments,” said Eldon Klaassen, Allegro chief executive officer. “The 2003 Gold Award from Commodities Now is recognition of Allegro’s ongoing commitment to the energy industry as well as the depth and breadth of our energy expertise.”
