Constellation NewEnergy enters downstate Illinois energy market


CHICAGO, Oct. 14, 2003 — Constellation NewEnergy, a retail electricity provider, is now serving non-residential customers in the Ameren CIPS service area of Illinois.

After successfully supplying electricity to business customers in Northern Illinois, NewEnergy was recently certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) to begin offering competitive service to customers in parts of central and southern Illinois.
