DETROIT, July 11, 2003 — Gail McGovern, professor of management practice at the Harvard Business School, was named to the DTE Energy Board of Directors. She will become the company’s 13th board member and 12th outside board member.
McGovern, a Boston resident, has been at Harvard since June 2002. Prior to Harvard, McGovern was president of Fidelity Personal Investments, a unit of Fidelity Investments of Boston and before that was executive vice president of the Consumer Markets Division at AT&T Corp.
“Gail is a prominent businesswoman who has an extensive background in finance,” said Anthony F. Earley Jr., DTE Energy chairman and CEO. “She will serve on the board’s Finance Committee and we’re looking forward to her contributions.”
McGovern received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from John Hopkins University and a master of business administration degree from Columbia University.
