Kepco will use Intergraph software to engineer nuclear plants

Kepco Engineering & Construction (Kepco E&C), an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company based in South Korea, has selected Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise solutions for the engineering design of nuclear power plants.

Kepco E&C is a Korean EPC for the power industry, and it has been focused on growing its nuclear power projects globally. The company determined that it needed a sophisticated, intelligent engineering system that could meet the strict safety and construction quality requirements for nuclear power plants.

After a comprehensive technical evaluation, Kepco E&C chose Intergraph’s integrated suite of SmartPlant Enterprise solutions, including SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Electrical and SmartSketch.

The company plans to apply the Intergraph system to several nuclear power plant projects. With SmartPlant Enterprise, Kepco E&C can easily integrate with other tools and systems to enable effective change management and reduce construction rework for its nuclear power projects.
