OKLAHOMA CITY, June 13, 2003 — Citing family issues, Eric B. Weekes announced he will resign as treasurer of OGE Energy Corp. effective July 31.
“I have enjoyed my time with OGE Energy and my role with the company,” Weekes said. “But the time has come for my wife and me to focus more on our families, and to do so requires us to relocate.”
James R. Hatfield, senior vice president and chief financial officer of OGE Energy, thanked Weekes for his service to the company. “Eric has been instrumental in solidifying our relationships with the investment community,” Hatfield said. “We wish him all the best for the future.”
No immediate announcement of a replacement is planned. Hatfield will resume the duties of the treasurer’s office which he fulfilled prior to Weekes’ arrival in May 2000.
Todd Tidwell, manager of financial planning and investor relations for OGE Energy, will serve as the company’s primary contact for analysts, lenders, credit rating agencies and institutional owners of the company’s common stock, bonds and trust-preferred securities.
OGE Energy is the parent company of OG&E Electric Services, a regulated electric utility serving 720,000 customers in a service territory spanning 30,000 miles in Oklahoma and western Arkansas, and of Enogex Inc., a natural gas pipeline business with principal operations in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
