SES forms unit to market, deploy gasification equipment

To help deploy its gasification technology, Synthesis Energy Systems Inc. is forming a new business unit to help deploy its gasification technology, equipment and services for the distributed power generation market.

The new unit will design and sell SES’ gasification technology as a package of equipment, technology and engineering combined with technical and operating services to produce syngas fuel for power generation for 50 to 100 MW scale plants, according to Power Engineering.

SES and General Electric (GE) announced in April that they would jointly evaluate and market a small-scale power generation unit combining SES’ gasification technology with GE’s LM-2500+G4 natural gas turbines.
