Siemens sells gas turbines, generators to Kansas project

Siemens Energy will supply three SGT-400 gas-fired turbines and generators to Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA) for a power plant project in western Kansas. Sega Inc. will install and build the power generation project.

The three combustion turbines will add 27 MW of power to the Jameson Energy Center. The plant is expected to be operational in early 2014, according to Power Engineering.
