Vogt Power to supply steam generators to TECO’s Polk Power Station

Vogt Power International, a unit of Babcock Power, announced that Tampa Electric (TECO) chose them to supply four new heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) to a four-on-one combined-cycle configuration at TECO’s Polk Power Station in Florida.

The project will capture waste heat from the combustion turbines to increase the output of gas-fired units by 70 percent. It is expected to be completed by January 2017.
