Wood Group contracts with Arizona Electric Power Co-op on gas plant maintenance

Arizona Electric Power Co-op awarded Wood Group GTS a contract to replace a turbine control panel at the 615 MW Apache Power Station in Arizona.

Under the contract, Wood Group is responsible for design, control system equipment, software, site installation, testing and commissioning.

The Mark VI Millennium control panel will be replaced with an open-architecture Rockwell ControlLogix platform fitted to a General Electric (GE) LM6000PC dual-fuel enhanced Sprint gas turbine. The controls will help improve troubleshooting capabilities and simplify personnel training.
