AREVA has appointed Tom Franch senior vice president of the Reactors & Services Business Group (R&S BG) for AREVA Inc. and Gary Mignogna senior vice president of the Engineering & Projects Organization (E&P) in North America. Both will serve on the U.S. executive leadership team.

Franch, previously the head of AREVA North America E&P, will be responsible for the operations and activities of the R&S BG. He will oversee the Installed Base, New Builds, Equipment, Products & Technology and the Nuclear Measurement Business Units. Franch has been with AREVA more than 20 years and has more than 29 years of nuclear power experience. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and architecture.

In his new position with E&P, Mignogna will lead E&P in project management and operations, design engineering, construction and commissioning services and associated strategy, processes and methods for the organization’s projects. He serves as the president of AREVA-Day Zimmermann joint venture company and serves on the members committee of the Steam Generator Team (SGT), an AREVA-URS joint venture company. Mignogna has been with AREVA 33 years and has held leadership positions in multiple areas. Mignogna has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and a master’s degree in business administration from Lynchburg College.
