Larry Grimm has joined Navigant’s energy practice as an associate director in the Austin, Texas, office.
Grimm specializes in electric grid operations, electric utility management and North American Electric Reliability Corp. “Larry is widely recognized in the industry for his strong technical and managerial leadership abilities,” said Laurie Oppel, managing director of Navigant’s power systems, markets and pricing team within the energy practice. “His extensive experience and professional expertise in reliability matters associated with electric system operations and NERC and regional standards compliance further deepens the breadth and the range of services we provide our clients.”
Grimm joins Navigant with more than 37 years of electric utility experience in power systems engineering, operations and reliability compliance. He recently served as president and CEO of the Texas Reliability Entity Inc. (Texas RE). Prior to that, he served as its chief compliance officer, where he oversaw and enforced compliance of all owners, operators and users of the ERCOT Bulk Power System.
“I pride myself in my ability to effectively work with bulk power system users, owners and operators, as well as industry regulators to develop practical solutions that achieve successful results,” Grimm said. “I am very excited to be part of Navigant’s energy practice and look forward to working with such an impressive team of professionals to provide these high-value solutions to our clients.”
