Danfoss, a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and motion systems, announced that John Galyen has assumed the position of president of Danfoss North America.
The announcement comes as Danfoss reshapes the role of its North American president to ensure cross-divisional alignment that will help the company better serve its customers and optimize operations while putting greater strategic focus on growth in North America.
“North America is our largest market with significant growth potential,” Galyen said. “Our largest HVAC OEM customers are based here, so it is important that we chart a course that will help us meet the challenges of this unique market and take full advantage of the opportunities it presents.”
Galyen will chair a new North American regional management team that comprises representatives from each division of Danfoss North America.
In his new role, he will report to a board consisting of the company’s chief operating officer and division presidents. The board will be chaired by Leif Flojgaard, president of Danfoss Commercial Compressors.
Robert Wilkins, vice president of public affairs, will strengthen the company’s focus on industry and public affairs—a critical role that ensures Danfoss’ leadership in the policy community and industry groups in North America.
