AEP favors Indiana deregulation

MUNCIE, Sept. 30, 2000 (The Star Press)–American Electric Power’s president of energy delivery, William Lhota, said Friday that increased prices for natural gas should not affect Midwestern customers’ electric bills this winter.

NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2000–Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. (Con Edison) has signed a wide-ranging agreement with the staff of the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) and a number of other interested parties that will reduce rates and lower customers’ bills, increase protections for low-income customers and continue its strong reliability and customer service programs.
