Alliant Energy completes sale of interest in joint energy trading venture to Cargill

MADISON, Wis. and MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 12, 2002 — Alliant Energy Corp. announced recently that it had completed the sale of its interest of the Cargill-Alliant, LLC joint venture to Cargill. The sale proceeds to Alliant Energy were $19 million, the book value of Alliant Energy’s share of the joint venture.
