American Superconductor says it is well positioned to meet critical power grid needs

President Bush’s National Energy Policy Development Group published its findings and recommendations on May 17. Chapter 7 of that report ( ) discusses constraints in the nation’s power grid as a core issue behind the current energy crisis and recommends that “the President direct the Secretary of Energy to expand the Department’s research and development on transmission reliability and superconductivity.”

May 30, 2001–Con Edison has selected Utility Partners’ MobileUPà¢â€ž- Version 6 to dispatch and manage gas leak response in its Gas Emergency unit.
